This is going to be an amazing series

music: whoever wrote this stuff...almost sounds like Howard Shore

http://www.planet-earth.com

"More than five years in the making, PLANET EARTH redefines blue-chip natural history filmmaking and continues the Discovery Channel mission to provide the highest quality programming in the world. The 11-part series will amaze viewers with never-before-seen animal behaviors, startling views of locations captured by cameras for the first time, and unprecedented high-definition production techniques. Award-winning actress and conservationist Sigourney Weaver is the series' narrator."

And watch some of the videos...the filmmaking is incredible and the music is beyond that.

When people write 2k7 as an abbreviation for 2007, do they realize that they're actually writing 2(1 kiloseven) = 2(7000) = 14,000?
The last time I checked, 2,007 was not equal to 14,000

A lesson in weight-room physics

Feb. 14th, 2007 | 05:20 pm

Maybe I'm biased because I'm a physics major, but I think it's pretty much common sense that if you have a bar with 135 pounds on one side and zero pounds on the other, free to move about an axis, it results in a massive amount of torque, angular velocity, and three forty-fives on the floor. OR ON SOMEONE'S ANKLE.

So let's recap this week:
1. attacked by a squirrel
2. failed a bio test
3. involuntarily used my ankle to break the fall of the weight equivalent of me.
4. Math Methods from Hell test
5. valentine's day

I was attacked by a squirrel today. But! Because of my lightning-quick reflexes, I was able to escape certain death.

music: Bayside - Devotion and Desire

If you're not ready, you're not ready.
So please,
stop acting like you are.

How could I know
that everything you say are lies about devotion and desire?
And I know the spark inside your eyes
was just the match I used to set myself on fire.

That's what I was trying to say earlier, but Bayside is more talented than I.

pissed off at my misfortune

Feb. 5th, 2007 | 06:37 pm

If the Al Yankovic song "Why Does This Always Happen to Me?" was a serious song, I would quote it. However, only the title pertains to how I'm feeling right now.
It's all a fucking game and as Blink 182 said so eloquently, I must have missed the kickoff.

It's a good thing I've found the stress-relieving effects of going to the gym and beating the shit out of myself, because otherwise I would probably have some kind of breakdown.

Well, enough of that. So much for being the stoic.
